4-I guide
There will also be those on the left side, and how unhappy their state will be!
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Have you ever had to choose quickly between a right way and a wrong way?"
Watch the Good Choices Kids video Making Good Choices at School.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Which group does this ayah mention?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does Allah warn us before the Day comes?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Waqi'ah is surah 56. Find ayah 9. The key words ashab al-mash'amah mean the people of the left, the unlucky side. Allah tells us about this group now, while we can still choose. A warning is a kindness: it helps us turn towards good before it's too late.
Fact: About how many choices does a person make in one day?
Ages 5–8: Traffic light. Make red, yellow and green cards: stop, think, then go with the good choice.
Ages 9–12: Choice map. Draw a choice with two paths and write where each path leads.
Finish with: "I found that people make about ___ choices a day."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say 'stop and think' before I answer back."
Action: Say 'stop and think' before you answer back.
