4-I guide
None touch it except those who are made pure.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How do we take good care of books?"
Watch the Sesame Workshop video Taking Care of Books.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who touches the protected Book?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How should I get ready before I read the Quran?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Waqi'ah is surah 56. Find ayah 79. The key word al-mutahharun means those who are purified. Scholars explain this ayah in more than one way, and your teacher can tell you how to get ready before holding the mushaf. What everyone agrees on is that the Quran deserves our very best respect: clean hands, a clean place and a calm heart.
Fact: Why do librarians often ask people to wash their hands before touching old books?
Ages 5–8: Clean corner. Choose a clean, high shelf at home for the mushaf and tidy it.
Ages 9–12: Respect list. Write five ways to show respect when reading the Quran.
Finish with: "I found that clean hands help books because ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will wash my hands and sit calmly before reading the Quran."
Action: Wash your hands and sit calmly before reading the Quran.
