4-I guide
No, we are left with nothing at all!
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How much food gets thrown away every day?"
Watch the Clean and Green Singapore video Food is Love. Don't Waste It.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How would the farmers feel?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why should we never waste food?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Waqi'ah is surah 56. Find ayah 67. The key word mahrumun means deprived, left without. Imagine working all year and having no food at the end. When we think of that, every plate of food becomes precious, and wasting it feels wrong.
Fact: About how much of the world's food is wasted?
Ages 5–8: Clean plate. Take only what you can finish and try to leave a clean plate at every meal.
Ages 9–12: Leftover chef. Plan a tasty meal using leftovers from your fridge.
Finish with: "I found that about ___ of the world's food is wasted."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will take small portions and finish my plate."
Action: Take small portions and finish your plate.
