4-I guide
They would say: we have lost everything we spent.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why do people save money for later?"
Watch the Yogotars video A lesson on responsible saving for kids.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What would the farmers say?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What should we do when our hard work doesn't turn out well?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Waqi'ah is surah 56. Find ayah 66. The key word mughramun means burdened with loss. A farmer spends money on seeds, tools and water and hopes for a harvest. If the crop fails, all that effort seems lost. This ayah reminds us that we plan and work, but the result is in Allah's hands.
Fact: What is a savings goal?
Ages 5–8: Saving jar. Decorate a jar and save a coin in it every day this week.
Ages 9–12: Farmer's budget. Make a pretend budget for a small farm: seeds, water, tools and what you hope to earn.
Finish with: "I found that a savings goal is ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say in sha Allah when I plan something."
Action: Say in sha Allah when you plan something.
