4-I guide
Have you thought about the water you drink?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How does water get into the taps in your home?"
Watch the SciShow Kids video How Does Water Get to Your House?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does Allah ask us to think about now?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Where was my glass of water before it reached me?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Waqi'ah is surah 56. Find ayah 68. The key words al-ma' alladhi tashrabun mean the water that you drink. We turn on a tap and water flows, but it has travelled a long way from rain, rivers and pipes. Every sip is a sign of Allah's care.
Fact: How many glasses of water should a child drink each day?
Ages 5–8: Water tally. Keep a tally of how many glasses of water you drink each day.
Ages 9–12: Tap trail. Find out where your home's water comes from and draw its journey.
Finish with: "I found that children should drink about ___ glasses of water a day."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will drink water sitting down and say alhamdulillah."
Action: Drink water sitting down and say alhamdulillah.
