4-I guide
So which of your Lord's blessings do you two deny?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why are most plants green?"
Watch the Colossal Cranium video Why Are Plants Green?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What colour fills the gardens on Earth?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does green make us feel calm?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ar-Rahman is surah 55. Find ayah 63. The key word ala' means blessings. Leaves are green because of chlorophyll, which catches sunlight and turns it into food. That green colour feeds almost every living thing on Earth, from caterpillars to people.
Fact: What is chlorophyll and what does it do?
Ages 5–8: Green hunt. Find ten different shades of green outside.
Ages 9–12: Leaf colour. With an adult, crush a leaf in a little warm water and dip a strip of coffee filter to see its colours separate.
Finish with: "I found that chlorophyll ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will spend time in a park or garden."
Action: Spend time in a park or garden.
