So which of your Lord's gifts can you two call false?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How do crystals grow?"
Watch the Little School video Crystals.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What treasures has Allah hidden in the earth for us?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did Allah hide beautiful crystals inside plain rocks?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ar-Rahman is surah 55. Find ayah 59. The key word ala' means favours. Inside plain-looking rocks, crystals grow in neat, repeating patterns. The earth gives us salt, iron, copper and the stones we build with. Every one is a favour we use every day.
Fact: How do crystals form inside rocks?
Ages 5–8: Salt crystals. With an adult, dissolve salt in warm water, leave it on a plate and watch crystals appear over days.
Ages 9–12: Earth gifts. List ten things in your home that came from minerals in the earth.
Finish with: "I found that crystals form when ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will look for the hidden good in someone I find difficult."
Action: Look for the hidden good in someone you find difficult.
