4-I guide
Which of the kindnesses of your Lord, then, will the two of you deny?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Who are the people in your family?"
Watch the Super Simple Songs video I Love My Family. (It has music.)
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What loving company has Allah given us in this life?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did Allah put me in my family?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ar-Rahman is surah 55. Find ayah 57. The key words fa bi-ayyi mean so which. Before the companions of Jannah, Allah gives us loving company here: parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters and cousins. Family looks after us, teaches us and loves us. It is one of His greatest favours.
Fact: How many people are in your extended family, counting cousins?
Ages 5–8: Family tree. Draw your family as a tree with everyone's name.
Ages 9–12: Family thanks. Write one thing you are thankful for about each person in your home.
Finish with: "I found that my family has ___ people when I count cousins."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will call or message a relative I haven't spoken to for a while."
Action: Call or message a relative you haven't spoken to for a while.
