4-I guide
Which of your Lord's favours, then, will you both deny?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why are trees so important for life on Earth?"
Watch the Little School video Why are Trees Important?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What do the branching trees of Jannah remind us of here?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What would the world be like without trees?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ar-Rahman is surah 55. Find ayah 49. The key words fa bi-ayyi ala'i mean so which of the favours. Trees give oxygen, shade, fruit, wood, homes for birds and roots that hold the soil. One tree helps countless creatures every day.
Fact: About how many trees are there on Earth?
Ages 5–8: Tree gifts. Draw a tree and around it draw five gifts it gives.
Ages 9–12: Tree survey. Count the trees on your street and find out what kinds they are.
Finish with: "I found that there are about ___ trees on Earth."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will use less paper to save trees."
Action: Use less paper to save trees.
