So which of the favours from your Lord do the two of you deny?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What are good ways to say sorry?"
Watch the Smile and Learn video Saying Sorry and Taking Turns.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "If Allah will turn to our account, what blessing do we have before then?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does Allah give us time to say sorry?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ar-Rahman is surah 55. Find ayah 32. The key word rabbikuma means the Lord of you both. Before the day of account comes, Allah gives us time to fix our mistakes and say sorry, to Him and to people. A second chance is one of His greatest favours.
Fact: What are the steps of a real apology?
Ages 5–8: Sorry practice. Role-play saying sorry and fixing a small mistake.
Ages 9–12: Apology steps. Write the steps of a good apology and an example of each.
Finish with: "I found that a real apology includes ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say sorry quickly when I hurt someone."
Action: Say sorry quickly when you hurt someone.
