4-I guide
From both seas come pearls and coral.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Is coral a plant, a rock or an animal?"
Watch the Living Oceans Foundation video Coral: What is it?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What two treasures come from the seas?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How do living things make such beautiful treasures?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ar-Rahman is surah 55. Find ayah 22. The key words al-lu'lu' wal-marjan mean pearls and coral. Coral is made by tiny animals that build stony homes over many years, forming huge reefs full of fish. Pearls grow layer by layer inside shells. Allah hides treasures in the sea.
Fact: What tiny animals build a coral reef?
Ages 5–8: Reef picture. Draw a coral reef and fill it with fish of every colour.
Ages 9–12: Reef helpers. Find out why coral reefs are in danger and two ways people protect them.
Finish with: "I found that coral is built by ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will learn one way to protect the ocean and share it."
Action: Learn one way to protect the ocean and share it.
