4-I guide
Which of the good things from your Lord will you two call untrue?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How many kinds of animals live in the ocean?"
Watch the Twinkl video What Animals Live in the Ocean?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What has the surah just told us about the sea?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did Allah fill the sea with so much life?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ar-Rahman is surah 55. Find ayah 23. The key word ala' means blessings. The ocean gives us fish to eat, salt, much of the oxygen we breathe from tiny sea plants, and treasures like pearls. Its creatures, from tiny plankton to giant whales, are signs of Allah's generosity.
Fact: How much of the oxygen we breathe comes from the ocean?
Ages 5–8: Ocean A to Z. Name an ocean animal for as many letters of the alphabet as you can.
Ages 9–12: Ocean gifts. Make a list of ten things people get from the ocean.
Finish with: "I found that the ocean makes about ___ of our oxygen."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say no to one single-use plastic item."
Action: Say no to one single-use plastic item.
