4-I guide
He let the two seas flow so that they meet.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What happens when two different kinds of water meet?"
Watch the One Minute Explore video Why do the two oceans not mix?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Allah let flow?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can two waters touch but stay different?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ar-Rahman is surah 55. Find ayah 19. The key words maraja al-bahrayn mean He released the two seas. Where waters of different saltiness, temperature or mud meet, you can sometimes see a line between them. Scientists study how such waters slowly mix. It is a sign to ponder about how Allah orders the oceans.
Fact: Why can water with different amounts of salt form layers?
Ages 5–8: Water layers. With an adult, gently pour salty coloured water and fresh water into a glass and watch.
Ages 9–12: Ocean meeting. Find a place where two seas or a river and a sea meet and describe what happens there.
Finish with: "I found that salty water and fresh water ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will keep plastic out of drains, rivers and seas."
Action: Keep plastic out of drains, rivers and seas.
