News had already reached them that was enough to hold them back.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What safety rules keep you from getting hurt?"
Watch the learning junction video Safety Tips for Kids.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What had already reached these people?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How many warnings does Allah give before something happens?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qamar is surah 54. Find ayah 4. The key word muzdajar means something that holds you back. Safety signs and rules warn us before danger, so we can stop in time. Allah sent many warnings through His messengers and stories of earlier people, more than enough to stop anyone heading the wrong way.
Fact: What do the colours on safety signs mean?
Ages 5–8: Sign hunt. Find three safety signs at home or outside and say what each one means.
Ages 9–12: Warning list. Write five warnings that have kept you safe.
Finish with: "I found that red safety signs mean ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will follow one safety rule I usually forget."
Action: Follow one safety rule you usually forget.
