إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حَاصِبًا إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٍۢ ۖ نَّجَّيْنَٰهُم بِسَحَرٍۢ
'Innā 'ar'salnā ʻalay'him' ḥāṣiban 'illā 'āla lūṭin . nnajjay'nāhum bissaḥarin
We sent against them a violent Tornado with showers of stones, (which destroyed them), except Lut's household: them We delivered by early Dawn,-

A storm of stones struck them, but Allah rescued the family of Lut before dawn.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How do hailstones form inside clouds?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who did Allah rescue?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why were Lut's family saved?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qamar is surah 54. Find ayah 34. The key words hasib and bi-sahar mean a storm of stones and before dawn. Hailstones fall from the sky as balls of ice, a small sign of how stones can rain down. Allah saved Lut and his believing family, leading them out in the last part of the night before the storm came.
Fact: How big can hailstones get?
Ages 5–8: Ice drop. Freeze water in small balls and see how they melt in your hand.
Ages 9–12: Night journey. Write how Allah protected believers in the stories of this surah.
Finish with: "I found that hailstones can be as big as ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will make du'a before fajr for my family's safety."
