Then how was My punishment, and how were My warnings!
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How loud is too loud for our ears?"
Watch the Phonak video How loud is too loud?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What question returns here?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why didn't Thamud hear the warnings?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Qamar is surah 54. Find ayah 30. The key word nudhuri means My warnings. Our ears can hear very soft and very loud sounds, yet people can still refuse to listen. Thamud heard Salih's warnings with their ears but shut their hearts.
Fact: What is a decibel?
Ages 5–8: Soft and loud. Make sounds from a whisper to a clap and put them in order.
Ages 9–12: Hearing vs listening. Write the difference between hearing and really listening.
Finish with: "I found that a decibel measures ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will look at people and really listen when they speak."
Action: Look at people and really listen when they speak.
