Then he came closer and lowered himself down.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How does a golden eagle come down from the sky so fast?"
Watch the Cornell Lab of Ornithology video Golden Eagle in a Hunting Stoop.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did the teacher do next?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did he come close to the Prophet?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Najm is surah 53. Find ayah 8. The key words dana fatadalla mean he drew near and came down. A golden eagle can swoop from high in the sky down to the ground in seconds. The angel came down from the highest horizon to come close to the Prophet and deliver the message.
Fact: How fast can a golden eagle dive?
Ages 5–8: Paper swoop. Fold a paper plane and launch it from high and low. Which comes down better?
Ages 9–12: Close to teach. Write why a teacher comes close to explain something important.
Finish with: "I found that a golden eagle can dive at about ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will kneel down to talk kindly to a younger child."
Action: Kneel down to talk kindly to a younger child.
