'Innā kunnā min qab'lu nad'ʻūhu . 'innahu huwa l-barru rraḥīmu

We used to call on Him before; He is the Kind, the Merciful.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "When do you usually make du'a?"
Watch the Little Deen Kids video Daily Duas for Kids. It is vocals only.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What two names of Allah end this ayah?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Does Allah hear every single du'a?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah At-Tur is surah 52. Find ayah 28. The key words al-Barr ar-Rahim mean the Most Kind, the Most Merciful. The people of Jannah remember that they used to call on Allah in the world. Du'a is talking to Allah, any time, in any language.
Fact: What are two times in the day when making du'a is special?
Ages 5–8: Du'a hands. Trace your hands and write or draw one du'a on each finger.
Ages 9–12: Du'a journal. Keep a page of du'as you make this week and leave space to note how Allah answered.
Finish with: "I found that two special times for du'a are ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will make one du'a after every salah."
Action: Make one du'a after every salah.
