4-I guide
Allah was kind to us and saved us from the burning wind.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How do you keep cool on a really hot day?"
Watch the Little School video Heatwave.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Allah save them from?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do the people of Jannah thank Allah instead of themselves?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah At-Tur is surah 52. Find ayah 27. The key words fa-mann Allahu 'alayna mean Allah showed us favour. The believers don't say they earned Jannah by themselves. They say it was Allah's kindness that kept them safe from the samum, a scorching wind. Shade and cool water on a hot day remind us of His care.
Fact: What is a heatwave, and how can we stay safe in one?
Ages 5–8: Shade test. Put two ice cubes outside, one in sun and one in shade. Which melts first?
Ages 9–12: Heat safety card. Make a card with five tips for staying safe in hot weather.
Finish with: "I found that the ice in the ___ melted first."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will put out water for birds or offer a cold drink to someone."
Action: Put out water for birds or offer a cold drink to someone.
