Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Why are they told to eat and drink happily?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What will the food of Jannah taste like?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah At-Tur is surah 52. Find ayah 19. The key word hani'an means with ease and pleasure. In Jannah, food and drink bring only joy and never harm. Here, Allah gives us good food to keep our bodies strong, and we look after them by eating well.

Fact: What are the main food groups we need each day?

Ages 5–8: Rainbow plate. Make a plate with foods of as many colours as you can.

Ages 9–12: Meal planner. Plan a balanced lunch with one food from each group.

Finish with: "I found that the main food groups are ___."

Talk together:

• Why do you think food is mentioned as a reward?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• How can we thank Allah before and after eating?
• How does healthy food help us worship well?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will say bismillah before eating and alhamdulillah after."
