وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍۢ مِّن قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًۭا فَٰسِقِينَ
Wa qaw'ma nūḥin mmin qab'lu . 'innahum' kānū qaw'man fāssiqīna
So were the People of Noah before them for they wickedly transgressed.

And the people of Nuh before them, who were a disobedient people.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What causes floods?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who came even before 'Ad and Thamud?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How did Nuh stay patient for so long?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Adh-Dhariyat is surah 51. Find ayah 46. The key word fasiqin means people who break away from obedience. Prophet Nuh invited his people for many, many years, but most refused. This list of peoples (Lut's, Pharaoh, 'Ad, Thamud, Nuh) all teach one lesson: listen to Allah's messengers.
Fact: What are the three main types of floods?
Ages 5–8: Story sequence. Draw the peoples in ayat 32–46 in order on a paper strip.
Ages 9–12: Flood safety. Write five things a family can do to be ready for a flood.
Finish with: "I found that the three types of flood are ___."
Talk together:
