Then the trumpet will sound, and the promised Day of warning will arrive.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How does sound travel from one place to your ears?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What happens on that Day?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Will everyone hear the trumpet at once?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Qaf is surah 50. Find ayah 20. The key words nufikha fis-sur mean the trumpet is blown. When it is blown, the Day that people were warned about will begin. Here on Earth, sound travels as vibrations through the air. That Day, everyone will hear, and no one will doubt.
Fact: Does sound travel faster through water or through air?
Ages 5–8: Table tap. Put your ear on a table while someone taps the other end. Is it louder?
Ages 9–12: Sound race. Find out why we see lightning before we hear thunder.
Finish with: "I found that sound travels faster through ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, when I hear the adhan, I will stop and get ready for salah."
Action: Stop for the adhan.
