Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What were some people doing outside the Prophet's rooms?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is privacy important?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Hujurat is surah 49. Find ayah 4. The key word al-hujurat means the private rooms, which gives the surah its name. Some visitors stood outside the Prophet's home and shouted for him to come out. The Quran teaches us to respect people's privacy: knock gently, wait and ask permission.

Ages 5–8: Knock practice. Practise knocking gently, saying salam and waiting for an answer.

Ages 9–12: Privacy rules. Write three family rules that respect everyone's privacy.

Finish with: "I found that when asking to enter we say ___."
