فَكَيْفَ إِذَا تَوَفَّتْهُمُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ يَضْرِبُونَ وُجُوهَهُمْ وَأَدْبَٰرَهُمْ
Fakay'fa 'idhā tawaffat'humu l-malā'ikatu yaḍ'ribūna wujūhahum' wa'ad'bārahum'
But how (will it be) when the angels take their souls at death, and smite their faces and their backs?

Imagine how it will be for such people when the angels come to take their souls; it will be a hard and painful moment.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What happens after we make a choice, good or bad?"
Watch the short student animation from Greenwich about a choice and what followed, then pause and talk.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does the ayah ask us to think about?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How do my choices today shape my future?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Muhammad is surah 47. Find ayah 27. The key word tawaffathum means they take their souls. Every life comes to an end, and the angels come at that time. For those who spent their lives rejecting Allah, it will be hard. For believers, it is gentle. Our choices now have consequences later.
Fact: What is the difference between a natural consequence and a reward?
Ages 5–8: If-then. Finish sentences like "If I leave my toys out, then…".
Ages 9–12: Choice map. Draw one choice and the good and bad paths that could follow.
Finish with: "I found that a consequence is ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will think about the result before making one choice each day."
Action: Think about the result before making one choice each day.
