Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What three signs does the ayah list?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What would happen if it were always day?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Jathiyah is surah 45. Find ayah 5. The key words tasrif ar-riyah mean the turning of the winds. As the earth spins, we get day and night. Rain falls and dry land turns green. Winds change direction, carrying clouds and seeds. These are signs for people who use their minds.

Fact: What makes the wind change direction?

Ages 5–8: Shadow clock. Push a stick into the ground and mark its shadow in the morning and again in the afternoon.

Ages 9–12: Wind watch. Use a ribbon on a stick to record the wind direction each day for a week.

Finish with: "I found that the wind changes direction because ___."

Talk together:

• What does rain do to dry land?
• Where do winds come from?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will thank Allah for the day each morning and for the night each evening."
