4-I guide
In the skies and the earth there are signs for people who believe.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How many planets go around our sun?"
Watch the Dr. Binocs video Solar System.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Where are the signs, and who notices them?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What is the most amazing sign in the sky?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Jathiyah is surah 45. Find ayah 3. The key word la-ayat means truly, signs. The planets move in their paths, the sun gives just the right warmth, and the earth is just right for life. Believers look at all this and think of the One who arranged it. These are signs to ponder.
Fact: Which planet is closest to the sun?
Ages 5–8: Planet line. Line up eight fruits or balls from smallest to largest as planets.
Ages 9–12: Just right. Find three ways the earth is suited for life.
Finish with: "I found that the closest planet to the sun is ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will look at the night sky and name one sign."
Action: Look at the night sky and name one sign.
