إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةٍۢ مُّبَٰرَكَةٍ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا مُنذِرِينَ
'Innā 'anzalnāhu fī lay'latin mmubārakatin . 'innā kunnā mundhirīna
We sent it down during a Blessed Night: for We (ever) wish to warn (against Evil).

We sent it down on a blessed night, for We always warn.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What makes one night more special than others?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "When was the Quran sent down?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I find this blessed night?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ad-Dukhan is surah 44. Find ayah 3. The key words laylatin mubarakah mean a blessed night. This is Laylat al-Qadr, in Ramadan, when the Quran began to come down. Surah Al-Qadr says this night is better than a thousand months. Believers look for it in the last ten nights of Ramadan.
Fact: How many months are in a thousand months, in years?
Ages 5–8: Night lantern. Make a paper lantern to remind you of the blessed night.
Ages 9–12: Night plan. Plan how your family could spend the last ten nights of Ramadan.
Finish with: "I found that a thousand months is about ___ years."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will pray two extra rak'ahs one night before sleeping."
Action: Pray two extra rak'ahs one night before sleeping.
