وَٱتْرُكِ ٱلْبَحْرَ رَهْوًا ۖ إِنَّهُمْ جُندٌۭ مُّغْرَقُونَ
Wa -t'ruki l-baḥ'ra rah'wan . 'innahum' jundun mmugh'raqūna
"And leave the sea as a furrow (divided): for they are a host (destined) to be drowned."

Leave the sea calm and parted behind you; they are an army that will be drowned.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What would it be like to walk through a parted sea?"
Watch the Believers Islamic Animation video The Red Sea Miracle.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How should Musa leave the sea?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did Allah tell Musa to leave the sea open?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ad-Dukhan is surah 44. Find ayah 24. The key word rahwan means calm and open. Allah parted the sea so the believers could cross on dry ground. Musa was told to leave it as it was. When Pharaoh's army followed, the water closed over them. The believers were saved by Allah's power.
Fact: Which sea do many scholars think Musa crossed?
Ages 5–8: Sea crossing. Make a path through blue paper waves for a toy to cross.
Ages 9–12: Miracle facts. Write three things that made this crossing a miracle.
Finish with: "I found that many scholars think it was the ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will remember one time Allah made a hard thing easy for me and thank Him."
Action: Thank Allah for an opened way.
