4-I guide
And We made them a thing of the past and an example for later peoples.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What is history, and why do we study it?"
Watch the Twinkl video What is History?
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Pharaoh's people become?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What lesson should later people learn from them?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Az-Zukhruf is surah 43. Find ayah 56. The key words salafan wa mathalan mean something gone before and an example. Pharaoh once seemed unstoppable; now he is a warning in history. Every generation can learn from him: power, pride and broken promises lead to a bad end.
Fact: What is the difference between history and a story?
Ages 5–8: Lesson poster. Make a poster with one lesson from Pharaoh's story.
Ages 9–12: Three lessons. Write three lessons from the story of Musa and Pharaoh in this surah.
Finish with: "I found that history is different from a story because ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will try to be a good example for someone younger."
Action: Try to be a good example for someone younger.
