Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Why does Allah not give everyone unlimited riches?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How do I know I have enough?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ash-Shura is surah 42. Find ayah 27. The key word bi-qadar means in measure. Allah knows people well. If everyone had endless wealth, many would grow proud and cause harm. So Allah gives each person in the measure that is good for them. Being content with what we have brings peace to the heart.

Fact: Which ayah in Surah Al-Hijr says Allah sends things down in a known measure?

Ages 5–8: Just right. Water a plant with too little, too much and just the right amount, and see what happens.

Ages 9–12: Enough list. Write ten things you already have that are enough to make you thankful.

Finish with: "I found that the ayah is Al-Hijr ___."

• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• How do you feel when you are content?
• What do you have that is just enough?
• What would you like to ask about this ayah?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will say alhamdulillah instead of asking for more."
