Opening the ayah…
وَيَسْتَجِيبُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَيَزِيدُهُم مِّن فَضْلِهِۦ ۚ وَٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ شَدِيدٌۭ
Wa yas'tajību -lladhīna 'āmanū waʻamilū ṣṣāliḥāti wayazīduhum mmin faḍ'lihī . wal-kāfirūna lahum' ʻadhābun shadīdun
And He listens to those who believe and do deeds of righteousness, and gives them increase of His Bounty: but for the Unbelievers their is a terrible Penalty.

He responds to those who believe and do good and gives them extra from His generosity, while deniers face a severe punishment.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What did you ask Allah for recently?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Whom does Allah answer?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does Allah answer du'a?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ash-Shura is surah 42. Find ayah 26. The key word yastajibu means He responds. Allah listens to those who believe and do good, and He gives them even more than they ask. Sometimes Allah answers by giving what we asked, sometimes by giving something better, and sometimes by protecting us from harm.

Ages 5–8: Du'a jar. Write or draw du'as on slips of paper and put them in a jar.
Ages 9–12: Answered du'as. Write about a du'a that was answered, maybe in a surprising way.
Finish with: "I found that the ayah is Ghafir ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will make one special du'a every day."
Action: Make one special du'a every day.
