Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What happened to the Book after Musa?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ghafir is surah 40. Find ayah 53. The key word awrathna means We made them inherit. After saving Musa and the believers, Allah gave them guidance in a Book, and it was passed down through the generations of the Children of Israel. Guidance is a family treasure to pass on, just as we pass on the Quran.

Ages 5–8: Family treasure. Ask a grandparent what they learned about Islam as a child.

Ages 9–12: Passing it on. Write how your family passes on the Quran from one generation to the next.

Finish with: "I found that they wandered for ___ years."
