قَالَ يَٰٓإِبْلِيسُ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَن تَسْجُدَ لِمَا خَلَقْتُ بِيَدَىَّ ۖ أَسْتَكْبَرْتَ أَمْ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْعَالِينَ
Qāla yā'ib'līssu mā manaʻaka 'an tas'juda limā khalaq'tu biyadayya . 'as'tak'bar'ta 'am' kunta mina l-ʻālīna
(Allah) said: "O Iblis! What prevents thee from prostrating thyself to one whom I have created with my hands? Art thou haughty? Or art thou one of the high (and mighty) ones?"

Allah said: Iblis, what kept you from bowing to the one I Myself created and honoured (the Qur'an says 'with My two Hands', which we affirm as Allah means it, without picturing anything); have you become proud, or do you think yourself high and mighty?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "When a parent asks why you did something, what is the honest thing to do?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What two questions did Allah ask Iblis?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did Allah ask when He already knew?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Sad is surah 38. Find ayah 75. The key word mana'aka means what stopped you. Allah already knew the answer, but He gave Iblis a chance to admit his mistake. Allah says He created Adam with His hands, a great honour for humans. We believe this as Allah said it, knowing that nothing is like Allah. Iblis could have said sorry, but he did not.
Fact: Which ayah in Surah Ash-Shura says there is nothing like Allah?
Ages 5–8: Honest answer. Role-play a parent asking "why?" and practise an honest answer with a sorry.
Ages 9–12: Second chance. Write how Iblis could have answered differently, like Adam did later.
Finish with: "I found that the ayah is Ash-Shura ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will answer honestly when asked about a mistake."
Action: Answer honestly when asked about a mistake.
