Yet you are turning your backs on it.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What would you think of someone who threw away a treasure map without looking?"
Watch the Alif Baa Taa Kids video Ayat ul Kursi: Wonders of the Quran.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What were people doing with this great news?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why would anyone turn away from the Quran?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Sad is surah 38. Find ayah 68. The key word mu'ridun means turning away. Some people heard the most important news and simply looked away. Turning away can also be quiet: leaving the mushaf on the shelf for weeks. Every ayah holds a wonder waiting to be discovered.
Fact: Which ayah of Surah Al-Baqarah is Ayat al-Kursi?
Ages 5–8: Treasure shelf. Clear a special shelf for the mushaf and keep it tidy and easy to reach.
Ages 9–12: Quran habit. Plan a five-minute Quran time each day this week and tick it off.
Finish with: "I found that Ayat al-Kursi is ayah ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will spend five minutes with the Quran every day."
Action: Spend five minutes with the Quran every day.
