وَقَالُوا۟ مَا لَنَا لَا نَرَىٰ رِجَالًۭا كُنَّا نَعُدُّهُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَشْرَارِ
Wa qālū mā lanā lā narā rijālan kunnā naʻudduhum mmina l-'ash'rāri
And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones?

They will say: how is it that we do not see men here whom we used to count among the wicked?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Have you ever judged someone wrongly and later found out they were good?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who are the people of the Fire looking for?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did they think the believers were bad?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Sad is surah 38. Find ayah 62. The key word al-ashrar means the bad or wicked ones. The proud people used to look down on poor and humble believers, calling them worthless. On that Day they look around and cannot find them, because those believers are safe in Jannah. People are judged by their hearts and deeds, not by money or looks.
Fact: Which ayah in Surah Al-Mutaffifin says the wrongdoers used to laugh at the believers?
Ages 5–8: Book cover. Look at a plain book cover, then read a good page inside, and talk about not judging by looks.
Ages 9–12: Real worth. Write what makes a person truly valuable in Allah's sight.
Finish with: "I found that the ayah is Al-Mutaffifin ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will get to know someone before forming an opinion about them."
