فَسَخَّرْنَا لَهُ ٱلرِّيحَ تَجْرِى بِأَمْرِهِۦ رُخَآءً حَيْثُ أَصَابَ
Fassakhkhar'nā lahu rrīḥa taj'rī bi'am'rihī rukhā'an ḥay'thu 'aṣāba

So We put the wind under his command, moving softly at his word wherever he wished.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Can you tell the wind which way to blow?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What makes wind blow?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Sad is surah 38. Find ayah 36. The key word rukha'an means gently, softly. No person can control the wind, yet Allah made it obey Sulaiman as a miracle. Wind forms when air moves from places of high pressure to low pressure, as the sun warms the land unevenly. It is a sign to ponder: Allah directs every breeze.
Fact: What is the name of the instrument that measures wind speed?
Ages 5–8: Wind watch. Hold a ribbon outside and see which way the wind blows it.
Ages 9–12: Make a windsock. Build a simple windsock and record the wind direction each day.
Finish with: "I found that wind speed is measured with an ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will notice the wind and remember that Allah directs it."
