إِن كُلٌّ إِلَّا كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ عِقَابِ
'In kullun 'illā kadhdhaba rrussula faḥaqqa ʻiqābi
Not one (of them) but rejected the messengers, but My punishment came justly and inevitably (on them).

Every one of them rejected the messengers, and so My punishment became deserved.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "If you were warned many times, would it be fair to say no one told you?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did every one of these nations do?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why didn't they listen even after a miracle?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Sad is surah 38. Find ayah 14. The key word kadhdhaba means they called the truth a lie. Every nation named before was given clear signs. Thamud even saw a she-camel come as a miracle, yet they harmed it. Allah is always fair: He warns, waits and gives many chances before any punishment comes.
Fact: What miracle did Allah send to the people of Thamud?
Ages 5–8: Many chances. Count on your fingers how many chances you get to fix a mistake at home.
Ages 9–12: Signs ignored. Write the sign each nation was given and how they responded.
Finish with: "I found that the miracle was a ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will listen and act the first time I am given good advice."
Action: Listen and act the first time you are given good advice.
