Opening the ayah…
وَثَمُودُ وَقَوْمُ لُوطٍۢ وَأَصْحَٰبُ لْـَٔيْكَةِ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلْأَحْزَابُ
Wa thamūdu waqaw'mu lūṭin wa'aṣ'ḥābu l''ay'kati . 'ūlā'ika l-'aḥ'zābu
And Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the Companions of the Wood; - such were the Confederates.

4-I guide
Thamud too, and Lut's community, and the folk of the wooded valley: these were the allied bands.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What do you think it means to be honest when buying and selling?"
Watch the Islamic Stories Garden video The Story of Prophet Shuaib.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who are the people of the thicket?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did these people join against the truth?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Sad is surah 38. Find ayah 13. The key word al-aykah means a thicket, a place thick with trees. Its people cheated with their scales when they traded. Thamud carved homes in rock, and Lut's people did shameful deeds. Each nation had a prophet who called them to good, but they joined together against the truth.
Fact: Which prophet was sent to the people of the thicket?
Ages 5–8: Fair scale. Use a hanger and two cups to make a balance and share sweets fairly.
Ages 9–12: Honest trader. Write three rules an honest shopkeeper would follow.
Finish with: "I found that their prophet was ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will share things fairly with my brothers, sisters or friends."
Action: Share things fairly with your brothers, sisters or friends.
