So the people came hurrying towards him.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How would you feel if an angry crowd came rushing towards you?"
Watch the opening of the One4kids full-length Ibrahim movie; ten minutes is plenty.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did the people do when they found out?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Was Ibrahim scared?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah As-Saffat is surah 37. Find ayah 94. The key word yaziffun means hurrying. The people returned, saw their broken idols and rushed angrily at Ibrahim. He stayed calm. When we know we are doing what Allah loves, we can stay calm even when others are upset with us.
Fact: Which ayah in Surah Ali 'Imran tells of believers who, when warned of a huge army, said that Allah is enough for them?
Ages 5–8: Calm breathing. Practise slow breaths in and out while saying you trust Allah.
Ages 9–12: Calm under pressure. Write three ways to stay calm when people are angry with you.
