4-I guide
And with them will be companions who lower their gaze, with beautiful eyes.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What makes someone a kind and gentle companion?"
Watch the Roots Muslim School video A River in Jannah Just for the Prophet.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How are the companions described?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Will everyone in Jannah be kind?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah As-Saffat is surah 37. Find ayah 48. The key word qasirat at-tarf means those who keep their gaze modest. In Jannah, people will have pure and kind companions. Modesty is a beautiful quality that Allah loves, in this life and the next. Lowering our gaze from what is not good is part of modesty.
Fact: Which ayat in Surah An-Nur tell believing men and women to lower their gaze?
Ages 5–8: Kind companion. Draw a picture of being a kind companion to someone.
Ages 9–12: Modesty map. Write three ways modesty can show in words, clothing and behaviour.
Finish with: "I found that the ayat are An-Nur ___ and ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will practise modesty in how I speak and behave."
Action: Practise modesty in how you speak and behave.
