4-I guide
Had he not been among those who constantly praise Allah's glory,
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What do you say to Allah when you have made a mistake?"
Watch the Roseate Muslimah video Dua of Prophet Yunus, Kids Edition.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What saved Yunus?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What did Yunus say inside the fish?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah As-Saffat is surah 37. Find ayah 143. The key word al-musabbihin means those who glorify Allah. Inside the fish, Yunus praised Allah and admitted his mistake. Surah Al-Anbiya records his du'a, in which he declares that Allah alone is God, glorifies Him and admits his own wrong. Praising Allah and admitting our mistakes opens the door to rescue.
Fact: Which ayah of Surah Al-Anbiya contains the du'a of Yunus?
Ages 5–8: Sorry and praise. Practise saying sorry to Allah and then thanking Him.
Ages 9–12: Du'a steps. Write the three parts of Yunus's du'a in your own words.
Finish with: "I found that the ayah is Al-Anbiya ___."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will learn the meaning of Yunus's du'a."
Action: Learn the meaning of Yunus's du'a.
