4-I guide
And We led them along the straight road.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why is a straight path quicker than a winding one?"
Watch the Islamic Essence video Guide to the Straight Path.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Where did Allah guide Musa and Harun?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What does the straight path look like in daily life?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah As-Saffat is surah 37. Find ayah 118. The key words as-sirat al-mustaqim mean the straight path. It is the same path we ask for in every rak'ah of salah. The straight path means believing in Allah, obeying Him and following His messengers. It leads safely to Allah's pleasure and Jannah.
Fact: In which ayah of Surah Al-Fatihah do we ask for the straight path?
Ages 5–8: Straight line walk. Walk along a straight line of tape without stepping off.
Ages 9–12: Path signs. Write five signs that show someone is on the straight path.
Finish with: "I found that it is ayah ___ of Al-Fatihah."

Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will slow down and mean it when I ask for the straight path."
Action: Slow down and mean it when you ask for the straight path.
