فَلَا يَحْزُنكَ قَوْلُهُمْ ۘ إِنَّا نَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ
Falā yaḥ'zunka qaw'luhum' 'innā naʻ'lamu mā yussirrūna wamā yuʻ'linūna
Let not their speech, then, grieve thee. Verily We know what they hide as well as what they disclose.

Allah tells the Prophet not to be saddened by their words, because He knows everything they hide and show.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What helps you when someone says something hurtful?"
Watch the Muslim Mastery video Don't Be Sad, Allah Knows.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does Allah know?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can I stop mean words from hurting me?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ya-Sin is surah 36. Find ayah 76. The key word la yahzunka means do not let it grieve you. Allah comforted His Prophet: people's words could not change the truth, and Allah knew every secret. When others say unkind things, we can remember that Allah knows the truth about us.
Fact: Which surah begins with Allah reassuring the Prophet that He has not left him?
Ages 5–8: Shield of comfort. Make a paper shield and write Allah knows on it.
Ages 9–12: Comfort ayat. Find three ayat that comfort people when they are sad.
Finish with: "I found that the surah is ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say Allah knows quietly to myself when someone is unkind."
Action: Say Allah knows quietly to yourself when someone is unkind.
