قِيلَ ٱدْخُلِ ٱلْجَنَّةَ ۖ قَالَ يَٰلَيْتَ قَوْمِى يَعْلَمُونَ
Qīla (u)d'khuli l-jannata . qāla yālay'ta qaw'mī yaʻ'lamūna
It was said: "Enter thou the Garden." He said: "Ah me! Would that my People knew (what I know)!-

The man was told to enter the Garden, and even then he wished his people could know what he now knew.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "When something wonderful happens to you, who do you want to tell first?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does the man wish?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did he still care about people who rejected him?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ya-Sin is surah 36. Find ayah 26. The key word yalayta means if only, a heartfelt wish. Even after his people rejected him, the man held no grudge. His first thought in the Garden was for them: he wished they could know Allah's kindness. That is true care for others.
Fact: Which Arabic word means a grudge or hatred held in the heart?
Ages 5–8: Wish cards. Write or draw a kind wish for someone who upset you this week.
Ages 9–12: No grudges. Write about how letting go of a grudge can feel lighter, using a heavy-bag example.
Finish with: "I found that the word for grudge is ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will make dua for someone who was unkind to me."
Action: Make dua for someone who was unkind to you.
