وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًۭا ثُمَّ يَقُولُ لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ إِيَّاكُمْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْبُدُونَ
Wa yaw'ma yaḥ'shuruhum' jamīʻan thumma yaqūlu lil'malā'ikati 'ahā'ulā'i 'iyyākum' kānū yaʻ'budūna
One Day He will gather them all together, and say to the angels, "Was it you that these men used to worship?"

On that Day Allah will gather everyone and ask the angels whether these people used to worship them.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why might people worship something other than Allah?"
Watch the Quran Recitation video of Surah Saba by Sheikh Mishary Rashid Alafasy.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who is questioned?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What will the angels answer?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Saba is surah 34. Find ayah 40. The key word ya'budun means they worship. Some people in Arabia thought angels were gods or daughters of Allah and prayed to them. On that Day, Allah will ask the angels directly. The question shows that angels never wanted worship: they are obedient servants.
Fact: Which angel is described in the Quran as bringing revelation to the prophets?
Ages 5–8: Servant or master. Sort cards into creatures that serve Allah, such as angels, sun and rain, all under Allah.
Ages 9–12: Angels in the Quran. List three angels named in the Quran and their tasks.
Finish with: "I found that the angel of revelation is ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will obey quickly when I am asked to do something good."
Action: Obey quickly when you are asked to do something good.
