ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَهُ ٱلْحَمْدُ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٱلْخَبِيرُ
l-ḥam'du lillahi -lladhī lahu mā fī ssamāwāti wamā fī l-'ar'ḍi walahu l-ḥam'du fī l-'ākhirati . wahuwa l-ḥakīmu l-khabīru
Praise be to Allah, to Whom belong all things in the heavens and on earth: to Him be Praise in the Hereafter: and He is Full of Wisdom, acquainted with all things.

All praise belongs to Allah, who owns everything in the heavens and the earth, now and in the next life.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What do you own that you really love?"
Watch the Alafasy recitation of Surat Saba. Play the first few minutes.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What belongs to Allah?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "If everything belongs to Allah, what do I own?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Saba is surah 34, and it has fifty-four ayat. It is named after Saba, a kingdom in southern Arabia whose story appears in ayat 15 to 19. It opens with praise: Allah owns all things now, and praise belongs to Him in the Hereafter too. What we have is lent to us to look after.
Fact: In which present-day country was the ancient kingdom of Saba?
Ages 5–8: Borrowed things. Make a list of five things you use that are really gifts from Allah.
Ages 9–12: Five surahs of praise. Find the five surahs of the Quran that begin with praise to Allah.
Finish with: "I found that Saba was in ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will lend or share one of my favourite things."
Action: Lend or share one of your favourite things.
