Find it in the mushaf: Surah Saba is surah 34. Find ayah 2. The key word yaliju means enters. Seeds, rain and roots go into the earth; plants, water and minerals come out. Rain comes down from the sky; steam, birds and good deeds go up. Allah knows every single one of these at every moment, and He is Ar-Rahim and Al-Ghafur.

Ages 5–8: Up and down chart. Draw arrows showing things that go down into the earth and things that come up.

Ages 9–12: Movement count. List ten things moving between earth and sky right now.

Finish with: "I found that some roots grow ___ deep."
