Start with bismillah.

Ask: "How does a story feel when it ends with mercy?"

Listen to the Your Islamic Teacher recitation Final Verses of Surat Al-Ahzab by Mishary Al-Afasy.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "To whom does Allah turn in mercy?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does the surah end with mercy?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Ahzab is surah 33. Find ayah 73, the last ayah. The key word yatuba means He turns in mercy. The surah ends by explaining what the Trust leads to: accountability for those who betray it, and mercy for believing men and women. Allah's last names in this surah are Ghafur and Rahim, Forgiving and Merciful.

Fact: Surah Al-Ahzab ends with Allah's names Ghafur and Rahim, Forgiving and Merciful.

Looking back: Surah Al-Ahzab covered the Battle of the Trench, the Prophet as a beautiful example, the Prophet's family, much remembrance of Allah, good manners and the Trust.

Ages 9–12: Surah map. Make a mind map of the main lessons of Surah Al-Ahzab.

Finish with: "The lesson I will remember most from Al-Ahzab is ___."
