Start with bismillah.

Ask: "Why do we follow some rules even when we do not fully understand them?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does a believer do when Allah decides?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How do I accept something I do not understand?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Ahzab is surah 33. Find ayah 36. The key word al-khiyarah means choice. When Allah has clearly decided something, believers accept it with trust, because Allah knows what we do not. A patient who trusts the doctor follows the advice even without understanding the medicine.

Fact: What are the two words believers say to show they hear and obey, mentioned at the end of Surah Al-Baqarah?

Ages 5–8: Trust the recipe. Bake something by following a recipe exactly, even the steps that seem strange.

Ages 9–12: Hidden wisdom. Pick one rule in Islam and research some of the wisdom behind it.

Finish with: "I found that the words mean ___."
