وَٱذْكُرْنَ مَا يُتْلَىٰ فِى بُيُوتِكُنَّ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْحِكْمَةِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ لَطِيفًا خَبِيرًا
Wa -dh'kur'na mā yut'lā fī buyūtikunna min' 'āyāti -llahi wal-ḥik'mati . 'inna -llaha kāna laṭīfan khabīran
And recite what is rehearsed to you in your homes, of the Signs of Allah and His Wisdom: for Allah understands the finest mysteries and is well-acquainted (with them).

Remember the ayat and wisdom that are recited in your homes, for Allah is Subtle and fully Aware.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What sounds do you hear most often in your home?"
Watch the Mufti Menk children's series video Easiest Way to Memorise the Quran.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What is recited in their homes?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How can our home be full of the Quran?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Ahzab is surah 33. Find ayah 34. The key word yutla means is recited. The Prophet's homes were places where revelation came and was recited. Our homes can be like that too, when we recite and learn the Quran together. Allah is Al-Latif, the Subtle, who knows the finest details.
Fact: What does the word hafiz mean?
Ages 5–8: Quran corner. Make a cosy corner at home for reading the Quran.
Ages 9–12: Memory plan. Choose a short surah and plan how to memorise it in two weeks.
Finish with: "I found that hafiz means ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will recite a little Quran at home every day."
Action: Recite a little Quran at home every day.
